Principals

Kelly W. Burns
ALSONSO IN THE TEMPEST; TOLLOLLER IN IOLANTHE

Kelly is excited to be joining the Oxford Shakespeare Festival. He thoroughly enjoys singing and acting. This fall he begins work on the Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of North Carolina--Greensboro.

Megan Cone
QUEEN IN CYMBELINE; QUEEN IN IOLANTHE

Megan is a Georgia native with a BFA in Musical Theatre from Shorter College. Some her favorite professional credits include Forbidden Broadway (Woman), The Civil War (Sarah), Annie (Lily St. Regis), Big River (Mary Jane), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Titania), and Macbeth (Lady Macbeth). Enjoy the show!

Lauren K. Rachel
IMOGEN IN CYMBELINE; ARIEL IN THE TEMPEST

A magna cum laude graduate of the Ole Miss Theatre Department, Lauren currently resides in Memphis with her wonderful husband, Nicholas. She would like to thank her parents for their constant love and support and Joe and René for choosing her to be a part of this amazing festival!

Jim Shollenberger
PROSPERO IN THE TEMPEST

Jim is a professor in the Ole Miss Department of Theatre Arts and the head of the its film program.

Jaclyn Suffel
JUNO IN THE TEMPEST; IOLANTHE IN IOLANTHE

Jaclyn graduated cum laude with a Theatre/Feminist Studies degree from Southwestern University in 2007. She was then accepted to Teach for America, which brought her to Memphis to teach. She was most recently seen in Oklahoma! at TheatreMemphis. She is greatly appreciative of this opportunity. Parents, thanks for coming!

Claire Taylor
CERES IN THE TEMPEST; PHYLLIS IN IOLANTHE

Claire is currently a graduate student in Vocal Performance at The University of Mississippi. She has performed in many productions with Ole miss Opera theatre and is excited to be joining the Oxford Shakespeare Festival for a second season.

Andrew R. White
CYMBELINE IN CYMBELINE; LORD CHANCELLOR IN IOLANTHE

Andrew teaches voice at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Operatic roles include “Guglielmo” in Cosi fan tutte, and “Aeneas” in Dido and Aeneas. Operetta appearances include “Pirate King” in The Pirate of Penzance, and “Grosvenor” in Patience. Roles in musicals include “Harold Hill” in The Music Man and “Billy Bigalow” in Carousel.
